The real name of Qandeel Baloch
is Fouzia Azeem. She was born in 1 March 1990 at Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab,
Pakistan. Qandeel was a Pakistani model,
actress & social media celebrity. Rose to prominence from her videos
discussing her daily routine & various controversial issues, Baloch
received recognition from the media when in 2013, she appeared as a auditionee
on Pakistan Idol, her audition went viral & she became an Internet
celebrity.
Death
During the evening of July 15,
2016, Baloch was strangled to death by her brother Waseem after they had argued
over her destroying their family name, while she was on Eid holidays in her
parents house.

Most recently Qandeel meet Mufti
Abdul Qavi in a hotel room to learn more about her faith, the interaction
between both of them brought mayhem on all Social media platforms as both of
their photos went viral online. She also weared a hat with Mufti's signature.
Her previously stunt which also spread in social media is that she promised to
strip dance for her nation, & to dedicate her dance to cricketer Shahid
Afridi if Pakistan won the Twenty20 match against India on 19 March 2016. She
had also released a teaser regarding her strip dance on social media which went
viral, but Pakistan has lost the match. Some Indian media compares her with
Poonam Pandey due to her controversial personality & similarities.

In an interview with controversial anchor
Mubashir Luqman, Qandeel named Rakhi Sawant & Poonam Pandey as her
inspirations. She also said that many organizations, people or media groups are
calling her to feature in their shows to increase their own TRP.
